American High School

I didn't expect to go to Turkey and end up in an American High School movie - I don't mind though.

They have a million student clubs here and even an american footboll team. I want to join the photo club, sailing team, dance club, industrial management club, travel club, the choir.... It goes on forever!

Swedish party

Erik was in Sweden this weekend and brought sill and snus so we had a swedish party at his dorm. It was niiiice. Erik tricked the others to try snus, but they actually didn't feel so much. Afterwards when Roy asked if Erik uses snus he admitted "Oh no I would never ever try it!"

Why not make a Kumpir with the potato and herring?

First day in school!

Felt like seven years old again today when I was walking to school today. Finding class rooms on a new school is always a big challange and so was it today too. But found Erik in my first course, two blonde people on first row talking swedish to each other must have been a funny sight!

Another day at sea

When the option to stay another day at the boat appeared it was not much to discuss. We didn't do anything at all today, but are having everything anyone could ever ask for: never ending ocean, blue sky, beautiful moutains, cold wine, delicious turkish food, great company and the best music ever. Joe said he would cry when he gets of the boat tomorrow and I believe him...

Sleeping at deck

It looked like this when I woke up this morning. I'm having a good day, ya!

I refused to realise that the weekend in Kas would come to an end so I didn't book a ticket home, and when I really had to they were all sold out. By luck I called Kaitlin to hear her plans for the week and as it happend she and 12 other exchange student friends from the US and Canada (Roy from Netherlands too) were taking the night bus the same day to Fethie, which was only two hours away by bus from where I were!!! So the next day we meet up and by chance found a wonderful ship that we are now sailing for four days in the Mediterranean.

The most used frases on this trip are "I'm so happy right now!" and "I can't believe this!"

Iyi Bayramlar!

One month of Ramazan is over and the Bayram holiday is starting! The Christian comparison to this holiday is Easter and for the turkish people it's most preferable spent with your family. I'm spending my days in small Kaş, also called the hidden pearl of Turkey, in the Antalya region.

Arriving international students

So the school is now invaded by partying international students. Almost everyone are from United States, but actually three more from Sweden! Among them Erik from the same university as me. It felt really really strange speaking swedish again!! But I was so happy to do it!

I can't really say what I think about them. I met some I really like and we had a great time! But the average don't even know how to say "hello" in turkish and are not interested in learning it eather, which for me is ununderstandable

At orientation day

Someone didn't see that there was a window blocking his way.

Preparty at Superdorm

Reina - we happend to come to the most exclusive nightclub in Istanbul since it was the only one open...

I arrived home from Bodrum now because I had to be in Istanbul for the registration in school. That sucks.

Im still unable to describe this paradise on earth - and a picture says more than 1000 words...

"Floods to Istanbul"

Hey guys, just wanted to say that I'm still alive. There has been raining A LOT here, but the floods are nowhere to be seen in Istanbul. It's the villages outside that are badly affected.

Hürriet - Flood death toll hits 31 in Turkey
Aftonbladet - "En hel by har spolats bort"

I'm going to Bodrum for the weekend now, so don't worry (if I can get to the airport, heard the way to there is flushed away...)
