Midsommar

Tomorrow after work I'm going down to our country house to celibrate Midsommar - the longest day of the year. Normally it goes something like this:

Industrialized country problems

In sweden we have an expression called "I-landsproblem" - basiclly problems caused by living in a wealthy country. A good example today at work:
-OH NO, that cake is huge, how are we gonna fit it into the fridge??

Great working at insurance company, with the contractors buttering!

Pre wedding

Whole Stockholm and a whole lot others was out to celebrate the wedding. 2000 polices and 2 million people in the city! (Well it can't beat 1 May in Istanbul with 100 000 polices, but anyway...)

Wedding concert

My and mum sat crying in the tv sofa last night watching the consert where royalties from all over the world gathered to celebrate the crown princess' wedding and with all the biggest swedish singers on the stage. Especially the part when the two children was singing to Daniel (the working class boy from the country side) "You might have doubted that fairy tales are true, how is possible to suddenly be prince. But dont mind wondering how that works, cause you have gotten who you want".

Surprise!

Jennifer said this saturday that she had a surprise for me. We went to Östermalmstorg and i had to wear a blindfold while we walked street up and street down, everything to confuse me where I was. Finally we ended up in Christoffers apartment where my closest friends from KTH (and Erik of course, even though he's already graduated!) were waiting for me with rosé wine and strawberries! Great surprise!!! :D

Coffee

In Turkey it's all about tea. In Sweden does people drink in average 3,5 cups of coffee a day, after Finland most in the world! I'm trying not to adapt to the habit, but its kinda hard when you have to wake up at 6 every morning.
But our coffee machinge makes tea too, and this week im really successfully staying away from the black gold.

Kiss

There was a big Kiss concert in Stockholm the other day. The queue was infinite and everyone was wearing leather jackets and stars.

Royal wedding craziness

Sweden is going crazy right now. Whereever you look its all about the soon to be wedding between the crown princess and her working class boy. It has been on the front pages of the newspapers for two weeks, special "wedding" trips can be made from around the country to Stockholm on the big day and the government who spent hundreds of millions of crowns are counting on a great flow of tourists.

Working

I'm still super busy with work and other things relating to coming home from Turkey.
Waking up at six, going to work, coming home, fixing at home, going to bed... At least my job is great!

Quality

If you noticed that the quality of my pics got worse since i got back to Sweden, I can tell you the horrible truth that my baby (NikonD90...) was in a accident and is now recovering at the mender.
I'm praying to higher powers he will come out okay!
