Perugia

Me and Lone took the train from Rome to spend a couple of days with our third musketeer Hilal, who was doing her Erasmus year in Perugia. Perugia is a really beautiful city situated at the top of the hills in middle Italy. It was founded already in the 13th century and it's easy to believe that most of the houses are several hundreds years old.

Without going in to details I can say that it was really a great trip with a lot of fun, hospitality and new acquaintances! But unfortunately I left with one friend less...

Venice

Since Emre had some classes when I was visiting him I took a daytrip to a nearby city one day. It was Venice - the city of love. Might not seem optimal to visit alone, but I really loved just walking alone the whole day, photographing and getting lost in the small alleys. I must have come there in the best time of year because it was warm, but there were no tourists so it felt like I had the wonderful place all to myself.

Bologna

After Perugia I continued my trip alone but not for long. I was namely going to visit Emre, who was doing his exchange semester in Bologna.

Bologna was a beautful city with a lot of history and Emre was the best showing me all around and cooking the best pasta ever!

Sorry

Sorry, really bad period in school, three exams this week, and my energy doesn't seem unlimited like it used to.

I'm going to Italy tomorrow, back on tuesday. Expecting to spend some quality time with my friends and baby (I'm refering to my camera...)

Rome

In March 2011 I made a travel to Italy to visit some friends from Istanbul who were studying there at the time. The trip started in Rome with half a day of quality time alone with my camera. I remember that the only thing I really wanted to revisit in Rome was Piazza Navona, it took me a great while to get there. In the afternoon dearest Lone arrived from Denmark and we hit the train forth.

Experiences

Sometimes you face setbacks that might seem like the end of the world - like this week. At those points it is important to take a step back and consider what is really important for you and what experiences you gathered -I'm really trying.
A huge experience for example is when I traveled alone to south-east Turkey. (I'm trying to boost myself here on the blog if you didn't already notice...)

Diyarbakır

I have extremely many unpublished pics from Turkey. And since my views these days are kinda limited (exam times) I might as well show some.
I realy love this picture from the old city in Diyarbakır. Someone is lowering a basket to collect the newly purchased fruits.

Best B-day

I worked hard for Cem to have a real Swedish birthday. And he did! Singing and presents at bed in the morning and pancake cake. Cousins and family over for more cake, this time with meringue and noblesse. Dinner at Halv Grek Plus Turk.

My Istanbul

When people hear Istanbul they think about an exotic and chaotic place where east meet west.
This is how i best remember Istanbul:

Sorrowless days

One of my first sorrowless days in Istanbul.

Miss Istanbul

Some time I miss Istanbul a lot and sometime I miss it like crazy! Now I miss it like CRAZY.
