OPEN six years reunion

Yeah, it was six years ago I started at KTH with the people that I still consider my "real" KTH classmates, even though we just went in the same class for one year (because I started the "open entrance"-orientation for those who know that they want to be M.Sc. but not in what orientation)

Although the reunion yesterday was held at a shabby restaurant and not many people showed up I had good time. I'm so happy that some of my classmates from that time turned out to be my best friends!

Last KTH exam

The last anguished exam at KTH - Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering. I can't even remember how many times I wrote it. It's really heard to learn something that you don't have the slightest interest in... Fortunately just happened to me a few times in life.

I remember the feeling walking out of the exam - emptiness. I didn't know what else to feel, because I didn't know if I was gonna make the exam or not, and therefor if this were my last exam at KTH or not. Did I complete my degree or not? Should I celebrate or not?

I remember this as Friday the 3rd of June, because the Monday after was Sweden's National Day and the day after that I left my old life as a student and started my new one in the working life.

A month after did I receive the result. I passed, which was one of the greatest relieves of my life. But by then my new life had already started, so celebrating the end of the old one seemed far away.

Colors of winter

At winter I often have to remind myself why someone would choose to live in a country like Sweden where it's dark and cold a big part of the year.

But it can also be truly beautiful. Here are three pictures from Brunnsviken at different occasions:

While I'm updating about old times real life is passing by, so I thought I'd show you what I've been up to recently.

Kaknästornet is a radio and TV tower build in the sixties and where the highest restaurant in Stockholm. We went there for a Sunday brunch, great food, great company and an amazing view!

Last days of studies - ever

I've taken some days of from work to prepare for the last exam of my economics degree, the FIX - Fixed Income Securities. It's not the first time I take the exam but the teaching in this class is really horrible; I'm having a really hard time to muster any interest at all for this course. Let's just hope I pass the exam so I don't have to see it again!

Picture of the year

I'm not certain that it's actually the best picture I took this year, but I know for sure that it's the one that got most attention because as a matter of fact it got published in a real magazine. Hurrah!

Best of 2012

I thougth I'd start with summing up 2012 by mentioning some of my favorites of the year:

The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Portrays the everyday life in Afghanistan. Thrilling, educational and tragic. Read!

I couldn't stop grinning for several hours after. Beat all expectations. And in 3D!

Series of the year:
Revenge! Noone can look as sweet and scheming at the same time as Emely Vancamp.

Man of the year:
Because he always shows me unconditional love in every situation. And because I have the best time in his company.

Sister of the year:
As usual! :)

Travel of the year:
New York! My crush for the city definitely didn't pass!

Achievement of the year:
Having the courage to leave a work situation that disadvantaged my personal development.

Challenge of the year:
Everyday at my new work at PwC. And I love it!

Album of the year:
Himlen är som mörkast när stjärnorna lyser starkast with Lorentz and Sakarias.

Concert of the year:
Swedish House Mafia. What a show!!

Crosstraining at SATS and a whole lot of running.

Istanbul of the year:

Party of the year:
Except the parties in New York and Istanbul I would say all the parties with my new colleges at PwC.
